Picking the right Locomotive...
I recently had a very good conversation with a customer about the right way to go about buying a locomotive, or for that matter, leasing a locomotive. He mentioned to me that too often when someone is looking to buy a used locomotive they buy what is cheap and easily available, not what is best for the specific job. They buy a locomotive that isn’t designed to do the job they have and that can cause many more problems down the road. Suddenly that inexpensive used locomotive isn’t such a great deal anymore.
